Server (DES) and Global Commerce Server (GCS) .
DES exchanges and automates standard business documents, like purchase orders,
invoices, delivery confirmations. Using standard XML documents, the system can
enter data, check figures against parameters, notify human operators, or simply
process the operation automatically using standardized parameter-driven pieces
of logic called "Managers". DES also synchronizes data with other
ERP systems (Scala or 3rd party) creating regionally consolidated sets of books,
or exchanging customer/order details with a CRM system.
GCS provides information from the ERP system directly to a website. Besides
the normal order-taking activities, GCS makes real-time information available;
stock, price, order-and-delivery status and customer information. GCS can also
power content management systems or integrate with high functionality content
and user management tools.
The solution enables automation of end-to-end business processes; from e-Commerce
site through to ordering, receiving and paying for goods and raw materials in
collaboration with other companies, providing integration between ERP systems
and other line-of-business applications. Additionally it enables collaboration
between computers and people; taking away repetitive low-value activities while
automatically requesting authorizations for any processes outside the parameters
set by management.
